After a three-year absence, the Rand Airport Airshow will return to Rand Airport in Germiston on Sunday, August 30.

Visitors can expect aerial displays featuring the Rand Airport-based Puma Flying Lions, Harvards, Master Power Extra 330s, the classic Beech 18 and other aircraft.

The programme will include aerobatics, historic aircraft and high-energy aerial performances, while static aircraft displays will be available throughout the event.

Flight schools will also be present to showcase their training programmes and aviation career opportunities.

The Rand Airport Airshow 2026 returns to Rand Airport, Germiston, on Sunday, August 30, marking the first Rand Airport Airshow since 2023.

Visitors can look forward to a spectacular programme of aerial displays featuring some of South Africa's most exciting aircraft and display pilots

The return of the event is expected to attract aviation enthusiasts and families from across Gauteng and beyond, providing visitors with the opportunity to experience the excitement of aviation up close while celebrating South Africa's rich flying heritage.

Food and drinks will be available, with a dedicated beer tent offering visitors a space to relax.

Tickets are available through Quicket and at the gate, priced at R160 for adults, R120 for pensioners and R100 for children under 12. Children under two enter free. Gates open at 8am with the flying display and airshow programme running from 10am to 3.30pm.

The event is expected to attract aviation enthusiasts and families from Gauteng and beyond, celebrating South Africa’s aviation heritage and showcasing opportunities within the industry.
