Nobel Peace Prize: Trump denounces committee after Navi Pillay win
United States President Donald Trump has reiterated his complaints about not receiving the Nobel Peace Prize.
His reaction comes hours after the Nobel Peace Committee awarded the Prize to South African Jurist, Navi Pillay, a former International Criminal Court judge.
Pillay oversaw a United Nations report which concluded that Israel has committed genocide in Gaza.
Trump has expressed disappointment at not winning the prize.
“We will not forget, Norway, that you didn’t give this prize to the country with the greatest record in history, not 8 wars.
We should have had 8 Nobel Prizes for each war, but you didn’t give the Nobel Prize for Peace to the United States of America; it is just another sign of how Norway and all these others are ripping off our country,” he said.
