Councillors’ Corner #12 | MKP’s Govender briefs on KwaDukuza Ward 28

Political parties and independent candidates have flooded the country with campaign posters as the race to win over voters intensifies just over two weeks ahead of the Local Government Elections.

In this week’s edition of Councillors’ Corner, Digital News Producer Lebo Tshangela speaks to uMkhonto weSizwe Party’s (MKP) Ward 28 Councillor in KwaZulu-Natal’s KwaDukuza Municipality, Vishnugopal Govender.

The ward predominantly covers areas around Shakaskraal and Compensation.

Govender, who is contesting for the mayoral position, is confident that he will be elected.

“I have done my homework.

We had three by-elections in the iLembe region last year; we won all three by-elections as MKP.
