BOSA leader Mmusi Maimane to unveil woman candidate for Tshwane mayor

Build One South Africa (BOSA) Leader Mmusi Maimane says that he will announce a woman capable of leading the City of Tshwane as a mayoral candidate on Saturday morning, ahead of the November local government elections.

Maimane spoke to the SABC ahead of the announcement taking place at Freedom Park in the Capital City.

Maimane says the candidate is familiar with the challenges facing residents of Tshwane.

“We have an amazing woman.

She has served, she’s lived here in Tshwane, she’s a talented and competent person.

She’s been involved in the arts, and brings with her a calibre of not only activism and politics in the arts- that I think is unrivalled, but as part of the programme today, we will unveil all the names and celebrate this real tower of a woman that I believe will give the people of Tshwane an incredible alternative for them to look at.” Great cities are built on steady leadership that keeps its promises, listens to its people, and steers the course with absolute transparency.
