SAFA NEC resolves to pay for Hluyo, Jordaan’s corruption legal fees
The South African Football Association (SAFA) has broken its silence on the ongoing court case involving its president Danny Jordaan and CFO Gronie Hluyo .
In a statement, SAFA confirmed that their National Executive Committee (NEC) had resolved to pay all legal costs incurred by Jordaan and Hluyo, including expenses already accumulated.
The duo were arrested in 2024 following a Hawks investigation into the alleged misuse of R1.3 million of association funds.
The association also maintains that it never lodged a complaint with the SAPS, the Hawks or any other authority.
It says the complainants are former NEC members and employees acting in their personal capacities.
