Coach carrying German high school pupils crashes in the Netherlands
A coach carrying high school pupils from Germany crashed in the east of the Netherlands early on Monday, injuring eight people, who were taken to hospital, Dutch police said.
“Some of the victims taken to hospital are seriously injured,” the police department of Gelderland province said in a post on X. Other people suffered minor injuries in the crash.
The coach, which carried more than 50 people, according to a police spokesperson, crashed near the town of Wezep, about 100km east of Amsterdam, at about 4am (2am GMT) due to a collision with a delivery van, whose driver was among the injured.
