Zambian opposition figures placed in police custody

Zambian opposition figures Brian Mundubile and Makebi Zulu are in police custody.

Public Relations Officer for the Zambia Police Service, Godfrey Chilabi says warn and caution statements have been recorded from Mundubile and Zulu in connection with an alleged offence of treason.

Chilabi says, “The two were interviewed by investigators and are currently in police custody.

The Zambia Police Service will provide further information on the circumstances of the matter as investigations progress.”
