Third Reiger Park suspect’s case postponed to 25 August for bail bid
A third suspect in the Reiger Park mass shooting case has appeared in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court , alleging that he was assaulted by police during his arrest.
Elvino Crafford showed the court bruises he claims were sustained as a result of torture and assault by police officers.
Crafford’s case has been postponed to the 25th of August for a formal bail application.
He is expected to join his co-accused, Jamal Meyer and Regan Collis in the matter.
It also emerged during proceedings that Crafford and first accused Collis are related, he is also represented by Samkhele Khuzani who also represents the other two accused.
Khuzani requested that Crafford’s bail formal application be heard on the same day as Collis and the second accused, Jamal Meyer.
The tree are facing charges linked to the shooting that claimed the lives of two women and two anti-gang unit officers in Reiger Park, earlier this month.
