The JMPD said a substantial number of officers will be deployed to the New Doornfontein area from 6am until 11pm on match day.
"The deployment is aimed at ensuring the safety and security of spectators and facilitating the smooth flow of traffic around the stadium," said JMPD Superintendent Xolani Fihla.
He said Outsurance/Traffic Free Flow personnel will also be deployed to assist with traffic control at critical intersections leading to the stadium.
Motorists can expect significant traffic disruptions around 10bet Ellis Park Stadium in New Doornfontein on Saturday as the Springboks take on New Zealand.
Several roads in the vicinity of the stadium will be affected from Friday, August 21 at 10pm until Saturday, August 22, 10pm.
Motorists are strongly advised to avoid the area and plan alternative routes. The M1 and M2 highways can be used as alternatives.
Fihla said to alleviate traffic congestion all spectators to use the various alternative transportation options available instead of their private vehicles.
"Limited parking will be available at the stadium, and we anticipate heavy traffic, making alternative options the most convenient and efficient way to get to and from the match," he said.
A dedicated Park-and-Ride system will be in operation, providing a hassle-free way to reach the stadium. The bus service will operate from 1pm to 3pm. The final return bus will depart from the stadium no later than 8pm.
Spectators can also use taxi shuttle services from designated parking areas at Eastgate Mall and St John's College in Houghton Estate.
Gautrain will transport spectators from several stations to Park Station, where PRASA services will be available to take them from Park Station to Ellis Park Train Station.
Designated drop-off and pick-up zones will be in effect for e-hailing users at Umjantshi House on Wolmarans Street, Braamfontein, to ensure a smooth flow of traffic
