Sydney rideshare driver charged over alleged sex act during trip
A Sydney rideshare driver faces a string of charges after allegedly performing a sex act on himself during a trip with a female passenger through Sydney’s CBD.
The man allegedly performed the act while a 23-year-old passenger was inside the vehicle at about 12.30pm on Saturday.
Police allege the man was involved in three unrelated incidents of a similar nature between January and April this year, though they were not connected to his work as a rideshare driver.
The 28-year-old was arrested in Millers Point at about 3.30pm on Tuesday.
A short time later, officers searched a home at Rangihou Crescent in Parramatta.
The man has since been charged with three counts of carrying out a sexual act with another without consent and two counts of sexually touching another person without consent.
