Police appeal for footage after young man stabbed at Boggabilla unit
Police are investigating after a young man was critically injured in a stabbing.
The 20-year-old was found with serious abdominal wounds at a unit on Brown St, Boggabilla, in far northwest NSW near the Queensland border, before being flown to Brisbane for surgery.
Emergency crews rushed to the unit on Sunday about 6pm after reports a man had been stabbed, with police arriving to find a 20-year-old suffering serious abdominal injuries.
Paramedics treated him at the scene before he was taken to Goondiwindi Hospital in a critical condition.
He was later flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for surgery, where he remains in a stable condition.
Police have since established a crime scene at the unit as detectives work to piece together exactly what happened.
Investigators are now appealing to anyone who saw anything linked to the incident to come forward.
They are asking for any mobile phone footage, dashcam vision or CCTV that may help the investigation.
