Calling all parents: Bluey is coming to Yoto for the first time - and the waitlist is now open

Got kids who are fans of the iconic Aussie cartoon character, Bluey? Get in line.

But now, fans of the little blue dog can enjoy the series in a whole new way, as the lovable blue heeler comes to screen-free audio platform Yoto for the first time.

Bluey: The Beach and Other Stories is an audiobook that will bring eight much-loved stories from the beloved TV series to Yoto on 1st September 2026.

The waitlist is open from today (August 21), so those wanting to get their hands on the sure-to-sell-out card would do well to move quickly.

The Yoto card will be released on Monday 1st September 2026, priced $19.99, with an exclusive waitlist now available to sign up to here.

Developed with BBC Studios and designed for children ages 0-5 with a run time of 45 minutes, Bluey: The Beach and Other Stories brings together audio recordings of eight fan-favourite Bluey stories: The Beach, The Pool, Charades, Daddy Robot, Baby Race, Barky Boats, Typewriter and Magic Xylophone.

Each story is narrated by acclaimed Australian actor Miranda Tapsell , who has lent her voice to the series in the past. Miranda’s performance is full of warmth and complemented by music from the original TV series, giving listeners the opportunity to experience Bluey in a new way.

Jess Tarrant, Content Director at Yoto , commented: “We’re delighted to be working with Penguin Random House and BBC Studios to bring this collection of Bluey stories to Yoto.

“Adapted from the much-loved Bluey books , the single-voice audiobook gives children and families a new way to enjoy these stories together, wherever they are.”

Adored by kids and parents alike, Bluey continues its run as one of the world’s most popular characters.

For Yoto, welcoming Bluey, Bingo, Mum and Dad to their library is the perfect way to help parents swap a bit of screen time for some shared listening in a familiar world.

Since launching Down Under in July 2024, the award-winning audio brand has changed the way thousands of kids enjoy audiobooks, music, podcasts and more.

In fact, there was such an unexpected bout of popularity over Black Friday last year that Yoto Australia had to employ extra staff and upgrade their courier service to ensure Yoto orders made it by Christmas.

Designed with Montessori principles in mind, Yoto is the first screen, mic, camera and ad-free portable speaker system for children aged 3-12 years.
