The 65-year-old Greek club taking on A-League giants in sold-out Australia Cup final
It's a sold-out football final 12 years in the making, but with roots that go back decades, as South Melbourne take on Melbourne Victory.
The first all-Victorian Australia Cup final of the modern era will bring together two giants of Australian football representing different generations.
At Melbourne's Rectangular Stadium, four-time A-League champions Melbourne Victory will face the South Melbourne Hellas — four-time National Soccer League champions and the third non-A-League team to make an Australia Cup final.
South Melbourne, a 65-year-old club founded by Greeks, boasts former Socceroos coach Ange Postecoglou and one of football's best ever players Ferenc Puskás as alumni.
The team got here largely thanks to 25-year-old striker Bul Juach, who proved the hero in last month's semi-final, coming off the bench to score a second-half hat-trick in the 3-1 win over Queensland Lions.

Bul, nicknamed the 'Raging Bul' told SBS News, "It's a good feeling. It's massive for the club. You can see the morale, and everyone is happy."
"The boys have been welcoming. The club has been welcoming ... I just have to keep going well, and hopefully we can win some trophies."
At 12, the South Sudanese Australian migrated to Canberra, where he began playing organised sport.
Juach said that football helped him through the adjustment of migrating to Australia, including learning the language and the culture.
"It was a big change coming from Africa, but football helped me a lot," he said.
The winner will claim silverware and a berth in next year's Asian Champions League 2, whilst South Melbourne are hoping a win will boost their cause as they seek inclusion to the A-League.
Juach said it was "good to see" multiculturalism in the South Melbourne club.
"We are all proud to be representing this club. We can see how big it is and the ambition of the club, and we all want to be part of that."
