Zeekr 7GT electric sports wagon to get power boost for Australia, three variants

The 2027 Zeekr 7GT electric performance wagon is set to arrive in Australia with more power than its European counterpart.

Zeekr has confirmed the highest grade of the 7GT will come with 500kW – up from the 475kW currently available on the 7GT in Europe.

Three variants are expected to be offered, likely to be an entry-level grade – known elsewhere as the Core – along with the rear-wheel-drive Long Range, and the range-topping performance model with all-wheel drive.

While full pricing and specifications have not yet been announced for the Australian market, buyers will be offered a choice of two batteries: a 75kWh pack with 519km of range in the entry grade, and a 100kWh unit for the two higher variants.

The Long Range is advertised overseas as having 655km of range (WLTP), while the performance model has 558km of range (WLTP) – however, that's based on the 475kW powertrain.

Based on Geely’s SEA2 800-volt electrical architecture, the 7GT can theoretically receive up to 450kW from a plug, which allows charging of 10 to 80 per cent in 15 minutes for the larger battery – though Australian chargers only offer up to 400kW, with many being 150kW.

The European-market 7GT produces 310kW of power and 440Nm of torque in rear-wheel drive guise, good for a 5.3-second 0-100km/h time, while the all-wheel drive flagship has 475kW and 710Nm and rockets from 0-100km/h in 3.3 seconds.

Zeekr says the sport wagon has around 456 litres of luggage space in the rear, accessed through a power tailgate, with an additional 65 litres of luggage space for rear-wheel drive variants.

In Germany, the 7GT has been priced just under the 7X SUV, which is on sale in Australia from $57,900 before on-road costs.

Timing also hasn’t been locked in, though it’s believed the 7GT may land in Australian Zeekr dealerships by the end of 2026, or early 2027.
