Tadej Pogacar pulls out of Vuelta a España after heavy fall on stage eight

Race leader abandons after huge crash on Saturday Pogacar taken away in ambulance with shoulder injury ⁠Tadej ⁠Pogacar, the Velta a Espana leader, abandoned the race on ⁠Saturday after a crash ⁠during stage ​eight ‌left him ‌with blood ‌on his face and an injured shoulder.

Pogacar, six times a grand tour champion, tried to ‌get back on his bike ​after receiving medical attention, but ⁠was unable to ​resume the ​ride and walked ​to ‌an ​ambulance.
