Denise Richards vows never to marry again after two bitter divorces
Denise Richards has vowed never to marry again after two troubled marriages, declaring she has had enough of weddings and legal commitments as she continues a bitter divorce battle with her estranged husband Aaron Phypers.
The 55-year-old actress and former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star made the declaration during an appearance on Jenny McCarthy’s podcast this week, discussing her ongoing legal dispute with Aaron, 54, who filed for divorce in July 2025.
Denise, who was previously married to Two and a Half Men actor Charlie Sheen, 61, said her experiences had convinced her to abandon marriage permanently, although she remained open to finding another romantic partner.
Asked whether she would consider walking down the aisle for a third time, Denise said: “Will I ever get married again? Absof******lutely not.”
The Wild Things actress also reflected on the breakdown of her relationship with Aaron, whom she married in 2018, claiming she had come to view their marriage very differently as their divorce proceedings unfolded.
She said: “What I’m having to unravel and learning, that to him I was a product and it was a business arrangement, this was not a marriage. So that part, I can’t do again.”
Her remarks came as the former couple continued to contest issues arising from their separation, which has been accompanied by allegations of domestic abuse and court proceedings in Los Angeles.
Denise has accused Aaron of physically abusing her during their relationship, allegations he has denied.
In November 2025, the actress was granted a five-year restraining order against her estranged husband following proceedings at Los Angeles Superior Court.
During her testimony, Denise described several alleged incidents of violence and claimed that she had suffered “at least three concussions” as a result of Aaron’s actions.
Aaron, a former wellness centre owner, has disputed the accusations made against him.
The former couple have also been involved in financial disputes, with Aaron ordered in September to pay Denise more than $25,000 in sanctions.
Reflecting on the failure of both her marriages, Denise joked: “I’m 0 for 2.”
Despite her determination never to exchange wedding vows again, the actress said she had not abandoned the possibility of another relationship.
