Iraola ‘wouldn’t have signed up’ for draw but relieved to earn late point at Newcastle

Szoboszlai’s 99th-minute penalty levels score at 2-2 Isak underwhelming for Liverpool on return to Tyneside Andoni Iraola said he “wouldn’t have signed up for this result” after his Liverpool side left it late to secure a 2-2 draw at ­Newcastle on Sunday thanks to Dominik Szoboszlai’s contentious 99th-minute penalty.

“Scoring at the end probably gives you a better taste and I’m obviously happy we’ve recovered one point, but we had done more than enough to score that goal,” said Liverpool’s head coach.
