Donald Trump declares Iran is ‘officially failed nation’, claiming country is dead
Donald Trump has declared “Iran is officially a failed nation”, saying the country is dead and calling for its leaders to be prosecuted for what he described as war crimes.
Posting to Truth Social on Monday, the US President claimed the country’s military, economy and leadership have collapsed.
“They have no Navy, they have no Air Force, they have no currency, they are not paying their soldiers or police, Inflation is at 300%, and their leadership is in total disarray and incapable of properly representing the country.
“The only thing they have is FAKE NEWS from the USA, a willingness to kill their protesters (now over 100,000 people dead. They must be tried for war crimes against humanity!), and a good line of ‘BULLS**T’.
The extraordinary claim came after the US struck two Iranian launchers near the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) reported that several Iranian fighters and civilians were killed and wounded in the attack.
Iran then launched missiles towards US bases in Jordan in retaliation, prompting another warning from President Trump.
“We’re going to hit them hard. There will be a response,” he told Fox News.
