Farmer Wants A Wife star Miranda’s surprise Paris engagement
The 21-year-old featured on this year’s season of the hit Channel Seven dating show as one of farmer Zac’s final five ladies.
Her outspoken remarks and open admission that she was not there to make friends earned her the “villain” label.
After clashing with Maya — who went on to be the apple farmer’s final lady — and a tense showdown with Zac’s sister, Miranda was sent home.
Now, Miranda from Queensland has revealed since leaving the show she’s found love and is engaged.
In a post shared on Tuesday, Miranda debuted her new fiancé Josh Brown and shared pictures from the picturesque proposal in Paris.
“Today, tomorrow, always,” Miranda said “This is a dream I never want to wake up from. Since the day we met it’s always been you and always will be.
Before her exit from Farmer Wants A Wife , Miranda spoke to 7NEWS.com.au about the drama that had unfolded after she was accused of talking behind people’s backs.
It all came to a head when Zac’s twin sister learned about what Miranda had said and decided to confront her directly.
“I have come from a small town and I have dealt with being spoken about in the past like this, so to meet Zac’s sister and already having that pre-judgment, honestly, it was a terrible feeling.
“I felt really uncomfortable and I was quite angry that another girl had potentially affected my relationship with him.
In the end, farmer Zac sent her home and went on to choose Maya, with the couple still together today.
Miranda later claimed she was “sabotaged” by gossip and despite being portrayed as the villain, she stands by her choices on the show.
“I think confidence goes a long way but on TV I can see how that confidence can come across in the wrong way and be villainised,” Miranda said.
“So it’s kind of hard to see that but I know that it was just me being confident and sticking up for myself, so I stand by all of that.”
