FRC and QIZ Security Advance Zero Trust Post-Quantum Cryptography Solution to RCC Hopper

Financial Post ·

ERIE, Pa. — FRC, in partnership with QIZ Security, today announced that its Phase II Pitch submitted against the Zero Trust Post Quantum Cryptography Roadmap, Area of Interest (AOI) #26-A006, has been determined to have technical merit and is being moved to the RCC Hopper.

The determination represents an important milestone for the FRC and QIZ Security team and follows an assessment and competitive evaluation process.

A welcome email is on its way. If you don't see it, please check your junk folder.

The RCC Hopper is a digital repository available to U.S. Navy resource sponsors containing solutions that have successfully progressed through the competitive evaluation process. Placement in the Hopper makes these solutions readily available for Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic to consider for direct prototype Other Transaction (OT) awards for a period of up to 24 months following the Pitch date.

“Post quantum cryptography is an inherently complex technology. Advancing to the RCC Hopper is an important validation of the technical approach our teams have developed together,” said Alan Smith, FRC’s Chief Strategy Officer. “As government organizations prepare for the security implications of quantum computing, establishing practical paths toward post-quantum readiness while maintaining Zero Trust principles is increasingly important. We are proud to reach this stage alongside QIZ Security and look forward to the opportunity to continue supporting the Navy’s mission.”

The joint FRC and QIZ Security effort addresses the Zero Trust Post Quantum Cryptography Roadmap identified under AOI 26-A006. The team’s Phase II Pitch focused on an approach designed to support the Navy’s evaluation and potential adoption of capabilities addressing the transition toward post-quantum cryptography within Zero Trust environments.

“Advancing to the RCC Hopper is further validation of our team’s commitment to securing mission-critical entities – a commitment we share with our partners at FRC as we support the Department of Defense in preparing for emerging cryptographic challenges. We look forward to the opportunity to demonstrate how our combined capabilities can turn post-quantum security objectives into operational outcomes,” said Ben Volkow, CEO & Co-Founder at QIZ Security.

Placement in the RCC Hopper does not constitute a contract award.
