Senators’ Hoyt Stanley to make NHL debut vs. Flyers

There will be a brand new face on the blue line for the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday.

Hoyt Stanley was recalled from AHL Belleville on Tuesday and will make his NHL debut against the Philadelphia Flyers, the team announced.

The 21-year-old defenceman played 35 regular-season games in 2025-26 as a junior at Cornell University in the NCAA, recording three goals and 12 assists.

He's appeared in two games with Belleville this season and is still looking for his first point.

Stanley, from West Vancouver, B.C., was selected 108th overall by the Senators in the 2023 NHL Draft and signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the club in March.

He is expected to replace Cameron Crotty in the lineup against the Flyers.

Linus Ullmark will make the start after leaving Monday's game early while Jake Sanderson remains out of the lineup.
