Scott Hanson Joins Splash Sports as the Face of Survivor Contests

Financial Post ·

DENVER — Splash Sports, the leader in skill-based social sports gaming, today announced that Scott Hanson has joined the company as the face of its Survivor contests. One of the most recognizable voices in football, Hanson will headline Splash’s Survivor experience across the 2026 NFL season, bringing his signature always-on, energy fans know him for to the fastest-growing format in sports gaming.

The partnership arrives following the launch of the biggest contest ever in Splash’s $21 million Survivor Contest. Alongside the largest slate of Survivor prizes in the company’s history ($25M+), Splash is introducing new features that give players more control over how they play, and more ways to win.

A welcome email is on its way. If you don't see it, please check your junk folder.

Through this partnership, Hanson will be featured in a national ad campaign and will also host a weekly show reviewing the NFL action from a Survivor lens.

“I’ve spent my career tracking every game, every score, every exhilarating finish, all at once,” Hanson said. “Survivor is that same feeling stretched across an entire season. One slate can wipe out thousands of players, and the last one standing takes it all. There’s nothing else like it in football, and Splash has built the biggest and more importantly, the best version of it. I can’t wait to track it all season long.”

“As one of the most recognizable faces of football, Scott is the perfect person to bring Survivor to the mainstream,” said TJ Ross. “For decades, the biggest Survivor contests required a trip to Las Vegas and a paid proxy. Now, you can play from your phone on your couch, while you sit and watch Scott all day on Sunday.”

As part of its 2026 season rollout, Splash is introducing features that move Survivor beyond a single winner-take-all format:

Combined, these features turn a season-long contest into something players can actively manage, week to week, the way the format’s sharpest players always wished they could.

Survivor is simple to learn and demands strategy to master. Each week, players make their picks. Win, and they advance. Lose, and they are out. The catch: a team can never be used twice in a season, turning every pick into a season-long decision. Splash offers Survivor contests at every budget, playable from a phone across 35 states and Canada, with automatic payouts and no trip to Las Vegas required.

Splash Sports is the leading skill-based social sports gaming platform, built for friends and communities to compete for real money. Launched following the acquisition and integration of RunYourPool and OfficeFootballPool, the Splash portfolio has more than 2 million active users across numerous peer-to-peer fantasy sports and skill game formats. Founded in 2021, Splash Sports is backed by leading venture capital firms including Dream Ventures, Accomplice, Boston Seed Capital, Elysian Park Ventures, and Velvet Sea Ventures.
