The 2026 Yangtze River Delta International Youth Film Festival opened on the evening of October 17 in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, bringing young filmmakers from around the world together for a week of screenings, forums and project pitching.

A highlight this year is the Youth Film Project Market, which received 545 submissions from around the world, with the top 20 projects set to receive industry resource support.

The festival also features the China Film New Force Forum, the China-Africa Youth Filmmakers Roundtable and a series of film screenings.

Guided by the China Film Administration and co-hosted by China Media Group and the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government, the festival is China's first film festival dedicated to young filmmakers, aiming to foster creative innovation, nurture emerging talent and promote international cinematic exchange.

The festival will conclude on October 23, during which the annual selected projects and the "Zhijiang Honor" recommendation results will be officially released.
