China's summer movie season breaks new ground
China's 2026 summer movie season has ended on a high note, bringing in 12.5 billion yuan ($1.86 billion) and drawing 340 million cinema visits.
Cinemas held a record 38.5 million screenings, while domestic films accounted for more than 70% of the box office.
