Stocks to watch: GIFT Nifty trends are indicating a weak start for benchmark indices today, despite a marginal dip in oil prices. As of 7:45 AM, GIFT Nifty was down 213 points or 0.91 per cent at 23,232.5

Overnight, the US stock market ended lower on Wednesday, weighed down by a sharp rise in Treasury yields and crude oil prices. The 10-year US Treasury yield surged 15 basis points to 5.11 per cent, its highest level in 19 years.

In commodities, oil prices fell marginally; Brent crude futures fell 0.54 per cent to $102.5 a barrel, while US WTI declined 0.28 per cent to $91.90 a barrel.

Exide Industries: Material subsidiary Exide Energy Solutions commissioned Phase-I of its 6 GWh lithium-ion cell manufacturing facility in Bengaluru, targeting mobility and energy-storage applications.
