Jaipur resort told to refund 85% of Rs 10 lakh after wedding cancelled

A consumer commission ordered a Jaipur resort to refund Rs 8.5 lakh for a cancelled wedding.

The resort could not keep the entire Rs 10 lakh advance payment.

The commission found the resort failed to prove actual losses from the cancellation.

It allowed the resort to retain Rs 1.5 lakh for booking expenses.

The order directed the refund within forty-five days.
