Cow Creek Wildfire: Florida forest rebounds with flowers and pollinators; shows fire-shaped ecology

After a recent wildfire, Florida's Goethe State Forest has experienced a vibrant resurgence of wildflowers and grasses.

These native plants, adapted to thrive post-fire, regrow vigorously from their roots.

This rejuvenation not only revives the landscape but also offers new food and nesting opportunities for returning insects, highlighting a powerful, enduring cycle of fire-induced renewal in Florida’s rich ecosystem.
