Subhash Ghai says actors now chase money over craft: 'Commerce has taken over'

Subhash Ghai has voiced his apprehensions regarding contemporary actors who appear to place financial rewards above artistic merit.

He reminisced about a time when performers were deeply invested in storytelling and character development, rather than financial incentives.

Ghai noted the significant role of managers and public relations in molding actors' trajectories, which often leads to transient recognition.

Salman Khan supported this view, reflecting on their era's commitment to quality films.
