Vijayapura: Two children drown, father missing

In a tragic incident, two children slipped, fell into a well and drowned in Vijayapura district on Friday (August 21) while their father, who reportedly jumped into the well to save his kids, has gone missing.

The mishap occurred at Balabatti village in Nidagundi taluk. The deceased have been identified as Sakshi, 15, and Rakshita, 10. Their bodies were recovered late at night on Friday.

The police and fire brigade personnel are trying to fish out the body of their father, Sabanna, 40, but the efforts have not yielded any result so far.
