K. Prabhakaran Nair, 90, one of the founding leaders of the NGO Union and founding secretary of the Nair Education Society (NES), passed away on Thursday after a brief illness. He served as NES secretary for three decades. He is survived by his wife Thankam and sons P. Premnath (former deputy director of prosecution) and P. Somnath. The funeral will take place on Friday.
