Three policemen attacked with chilli powder, bricks in Delhi; juvenile apprehended

Three Delhi Police personnel were injured after a group allegedly attacked them with chilli powder, bricks and sticks in Mukundpur’s Janta Vihar, police said on Sunday.
Head Constables Dinesh and Rajesh of Bhalswa Dairy police station were attacked on Saturday at 3.30 p.m. after returning to their beat, having taken a motorcycle without valid documents to the police station under the Delhi Police Act.
“Head Constable Tinu, who came to assist them, was also assaulted. Dinesh suffered a head injury. All three are stable,” said a police officer.
Police said, they have apprehended a 17-year-old juvenile with residents’ help, while the others fled. A case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Police said the main accused, Sunil alias Pankaj, has five criminal cases registered against him, including two under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
