Football fan groups call for FIFA prez Infantino’s resignation, launch petition

Football fan groups worldwide have launched the #InfantinoOut petition, calling for FIFA president Gianni Infantino to resign over his attempt to sell future World Cup profits to private investors.

Around 40 national groups backed the campaign, criticising his leadership and lack of transparency.

They also cited his support for the European Super League and biennial World Cups as reasons for their demands.
