Transfer news LIVE: Man Utd's Bruno Fernandes talks, Liverpool PSG agreement, Osimhen to Arsenal
Hello and welcome to Mirror Football's transfer live blog for Monday, August 16.
The big news on Sunday night is that Rodri is poised to join Barcelona in a deal worth £65.4m. Manchester City had hoped Rodri would sign a new contract at the Etihad, but with his deal entering the final year, it became clear the Ballon d'Or winner would not commit. He is now set to undergo a medical before signing a four-year contract with the Spanish giants.
While Lille remain in talks with a number of clubs over their Moroccan midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi. City are one of the clubs in talks with the Ligue 1 side regarding a deal for Bouaddi as they replenish their midfield.
Liverpool’s hopes of signing Bradley Barcola also received a boost on Sunday after he was left out of the Paris Saint-Germain squad for the French Super Cup final against Lens. That development comes after PSG completed the signing of Spain's World Cup final hero Ferran Torres from Barcelona for £42.7m.
The French giants also secured the signing of Mika Godts from Ajax over the weekend. The deal could be worth up to €55million (£47m; $63.63m) to Ajax, consisting of an initial fee of €45m, plus €10m in potential add-ons.
Arsenal , meanwhile, may have to fork out at least £60m if they hope to sign Galatasaray's Victor Osimhen before next month's transfer deadline. The Gunners are looking to add firepower to their attack this summer, having missed out on Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior following a long and drawn-out transfer saga.

Lille remain in talks with a number of clubs over their Moroccan midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi.
Manchester City are believed to be one of the clubs in talks with the Ligue 1 side regarding a deal for Bouaddi as they are in the process of replenishing their midfield.
But while confirming the interest in Bouaddi, Lille head coach Davide Ancelotti admitted he hopes the midfielder remains with his club this summer.
“Bouaddi is a very good player,” Ancelotti, the son of the Brazil head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, said.
“He is available [in terms of his fitness] and he played 45 minutes. But that is only because I have to manage his minutes. Next week we start the season and I consider him as an available player for me.
“Of course, there are negotiations. There is interest from so many clubs. He is a really, really good player and I hope that he is going to stay with us.”
Bouaddi, who impressed at the World Cup, played the second half in Lille’s 1-1 draw with Everton at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday.
