Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Katie Zacharia has been offered the White House press secretary post, multiple sources familiar with the offer tell Axios.

The big picture: If she accepts the job, Zacharia will take over the podium from Karoline Leavitt, a tenacious Trump loyalist who announced her departure from the administration in August.
