9) that it had canceled a homecoming concert featuring indie-pop duo Between Friends, which was scheduled for Oct.
17 at Barton Hall in Ithaca, New York.

“It takes so much strength to come forward with such a painful truth, and Jane Doe needs all the support she can get to stay strong during this turbulent time.” The cancellation comes amid mounting scrutiny over a lawsuit filed in September by a woman identified as Jane Doe against Cornell University and seven members of its Chi Phi fraternity.
The lawsuit alleges that the men gave her drugs and alcohol before repeatedly sexually assaulting and raping her at a fraternity party in October 2024.
The men have denied wrongdoing, saying that the encounters were consensual or misrepresented in the suit, according to The New York Times .

“We call on Cornell to create meaningful changes that protect and support survivors.” The concert commission also said it is working to organize a charity event featuring student bands and DJs to support sexual violence prevention efforts.
