Norman Reedus Boards Apple TV Spy Thriller ‘Disavowed’

Norman Reedus will be a series regular alongside James Marsden in the series from creators Art Marcum and Matt Holloway ( Iron Man, Uncharted ). Details about the character Reedus will play are being kept classified for now.

Disavowed , which Apple TV greenlit in May, stars Marsden (who also executive produces) as Brad Griffin, a CIA case officer who’s fired in the middle of a global manhunt for an assassin who killed one of Brad’s colleagues. Cast out from the intelligence world, Brad decides to go freelance and try to collect a $15 million bounty on the assassin. Reedus is best known for his role as Daryl in The Walking Dead franchise. He was a regular throughout the flagship AMC show’s 11-season run and stars in the spinoff The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon , which will conclude with its fourth season .

He’ll next be seen in the feature film The Housewife , which is set to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. Also on the horizon are Pendulum , due for release in January, and a film from director Takashi Miike that also stars Charli XCX and Milly Alcock. Reedus’ credits also include Ballerina, The Bikeriders and Boondock Saints. He is repped by CAA, Linden Entertainment, Narrative and Jackoway Austen.

Apple Studios is producing Disavowed with Blue Marble Pictures ( Pachinko ). Marcum and Holloway executive produce with Marsden, Tom Spezialy, Michelle MacLaren (who is directing the first two episodes), Rebecca Hobbs, and Blue Marble Pictures’ Theresa Kang and Caroline Garity.
