It's only week two, but Kansas QB Isaiah Marshall might have completed the pass of the year

The college football season is humming along, and Friday night's action between the Kansas Jayhawks and the Missouri Tigers gifted us some must-see early season fireworks.

Things got hot and heavy before the game even started, with Kansas dropping a hype video in the lead-up to the game that framed the Tigers as "evil," alluding to Missouri's involvement as a slave state in the mid 1800s.

Mizzou got the last laugh, though, as the Tigers blasted the Jayhawks 38-21, adding a late score that head coach Eli Drinkwitz said was meant to "embarrass" their rivals for their social media stunt.

All of that is well and good, and it's what makes college football the greatest sport on earth, but that's not why we are here.

THE CRAIG CARTON SHOW–UNFILTERED, UNAPOLOGETIC AND UNMISSABLE.

DOWNLOAD HIS DAILY PODCAST NOW! During the game, Kansas signal caller Isaiah Marshall completed what can only be conservatively described as the throw of the year.

ALABAMA HIGH SCHOOL QB LEAVES FANS IN AWE WITH RECORD-BREAKING TOUCHDOWN PASS Yes, it's only week two, but just watch this throw and tell me it's not only the greatest throw of the year, it might be one of the best of all-time.

I don't have the foggiest idea how he even stayed in bounds to get this pass off, let alone complete it 15 yards downfield to his receiver for a first down.

INDIANA QB JOSH HOOVER DELIVERS THE GREATEST 'FOOTBALL GUY' MOMENT OF THE SEASON SO FAR You think jump passes are cool? How about a fadeaway, 360-no-scope, dime while throwing across his body? As I mentioned, Kansas would end up losing this game, but may have the best highlight anyone is going to produce for the next several years in college football.

KANSAS RENEWS BORDER WAR RIVALRY WITH MISSOURI BY CALLING TIGERS 'EVIL,' INVOKING SLAVERY IMAGERY Marshall had accuracy issues for a majority of the night, completing only 43% of his passes and tossing a pair of interceptions in the process, but if he can channel more of what he did on this play, the Jayhawks may have found an absolute gunslinger for the next few years.

ZERO BS.

JUST DAKICH.

TAKE THE DON'T @ ME PODCAST ON THE ROAD.

DOWNLOAD NOW! If all else fails, Kansas offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki can just draw up the "no-scope sideline pass" in a pinch.
