BelicoFest San José Featuring Santa Fe Klan & More Called Off: ‘Canceling … Is the Right Decision’
BelicoFest San José has canceled its Aug.
29 festival at PayPal Park, organizers announced Friday (Aug.
21) via social media, just more than a week before the event was scheduled to take place.
The announced lineup included headliners Tito Double P , Gerardo Ortiz and Santa Fe Klan , as well as Herencia de Patrones, Regulo Caro, Estevie, Anakin Larios, Ilusión Eterno and Grupo Ajedrez.
“San Jose Familia: We are sorry to share that BelicoFest San Jose will not be happening next weekend as planned,” organizers wrote in a joint Instagram post with PayPal Park.
“After careful consideration, the BelicoFest team has made the difficult decision to cancel our show scheduled for August 29, 2026.” “We know how much our community was looking forward to celebrating with us, and we don’t make this decision lightly,” organizers continued.
“Our priority is delivering the best possible festival, and we believe that canceling next week’s performance is the right decision to ensure we can do that.” The statement did not provide further details about the circumstances behind the cancellation.
Billboard has reached out to the organizers for further comment.
The cancellation follows BelicoFest’s Los Angeles debut at BMO Stadium on July 12.
The lineup for that event included Tito Double P, Gerardo Ortiz, OhGeesy, Clave Especial, Chuyin, Regulo Caro, Snow Tha Product, Estevie, Ilusión Eterno, Grupo Ajedrez, Anakin Larios and Clika, with Santa Fe Klan also appearing as a special guest.
The L.A. show marked the festival’s first stop in its planned 2026 expansion, which also included the San José date.
BelicoFest organizers previously said the festival drew more than 30,000 fans in Phoenix in 2025, when Peso Pluma headlined.
The festival’s producer, For The Culture, had described the San José event as PayPal Park’s first-ever live music event; the venue is the home of the San Jose Earthquakes, the city’s soccer team.
The 18,000-seat stadium opened in 2015 and has hosted sporting events and community programming, but had not previously hosted a concert.
