Nationals outfielder does his best Spider-Man impression for one of baseball's best catches of the year

Washington Nationals outfielder Jacob Young pulled off a remarkable Spider-Man impression with one of the most incredible catches of the baseball season on Sunday.

During the third inning of the Nationals’ 6-2 loss to the Miami Marlins at loanDepot Park, Young turned into Peter Parker.

The Marlins were up 1-0 in the bottom of the third inning with one out and a runner on first base.

Marlins outfielder Heriberto Hernández ripped Nationals starting pitcher Jackson Kent’s 86-mph slider deep to left-center field.

He then jumped into the wall, planted his right leg on the mesh fence to vault himself higher, used his right hand to further propel himself upward and snared the ball at the top of the wall.

Marlins shortstop Otto Lopez was the runner on first base, and he was off to the races when the ball was hit, thinking there was no chance Young could possibly catch Hernández’s deep fly ball.

Lopez stood on third base, dumbfounded, as Young fired the ball back to first base to complete the spectacular inning-ending double play.

ZERO BS.

JUST DAKICH.

This season has been the most productive for him offensively, as he has a .244 batting average with 10 home runs and 43 RBI.

While the numbers aren’t eye-popping, he had a combined five home runs over the first three years of his career, making this year’s offensive output a marked improvement.
