Jimmy Kimmel Perfectly Predicted Trump’s Nobel Peace Prize Humiliation
Jimmy Kimmel Live/YouTube Jimmy Kimmel is surely basking in the glow of his accurate prediction about Donald Trump’s award aspirations.
The late-night host offered Trump sarcastic condolences for his inevitable Nobel Peace Prize loss before it actually happened on Friday.
“I know you’re sad about this, Donald.
I know you were really good this year,” Kimmel said in his monologue on Thursday night.
“I know you only bombed 10 fishermen in one school, and I know you don’t care about the Nobel Prize, but somebody will get it.
And you’ll be mortified to know that someone will not be you tomorrow.” The host added, “Everything you need to know about Donald Trump’s brain can be explained by the fact that he believes he should win a Nobel Prize for peace seven months after starting a war for no reason.” The Prize committee announced that Navanethem “Navi“ Pillay, 85, a former U.N. human rights chief and judge at the International Court of Justice, was the winner.
Pillay immediately used her bragging rights to humiliate the 80-year-old president, saying in a video captured by French human rights activist and Amnesty International chief Agnès Callamard, “If you clap a little bit more, I may share this prize with Trump.” The president has been gunning for the prize—while simultaneously claiming he doesn’t care about it—for months.
Kimmel joked that Trump’s expectation of the honor showed more hubris than any of “history’s most notorious dictators.” “Genghis Khan himself would be like, ‘You know what? This was a rebuilding year.
We’ll go for it next year,’” he quipped, after playing a montage of Trump’s constant mentions of the Prize over the past year.
He also mocked Trump’s replacement ceremony, which the host argued was an obvious “distraction” from his potential loss.
“In Washington, Trump awarded the National Medal of Science to his owner, Elon Musk,” Kimmel joked.
“It is so nice when two terrible people can put their differences aside for the greater bad.” He added, “And you know what? I do give the president some credit.
It’s hard for him to give medals to other people.
He’s really showing growth. ” Obsessed with pop culture and entertainment? Follow us on Substack and YouTube for even more coverage.
