Coronor Overseeing Hayden Panettiere’s Autopsy Finds No Signs of Trauma

The coroner’s office overseeing the autopsy of TV and film star Hayden Panettiere , who died on Sunday in South Carolina, released a statement on Monday indicating that there were no signs of trauma found on her body.

On Sunday at around 1:50 p.m. local time, Panettiere, 36, was found unresponsive inside a residence in Greenville, South Carolina. Officials on the 911 call were reportedly heard discussing an “overdose” and “cardiac arrest” around the time of Panettiere’s death, according to a report on Monday in Page Six .

On Monday afternoon, Mike Ellis of the Greenville County Coroner’s Office released a statement, obtained by The Hollywood Reporter , revealing the preliminary results of the actor’s autopsy. A full autopsy report is typically released months after an individual’s death. On Monday, a representative of the coroner’s office told THR that it will be eight weeks before Panettiere’s full report is released to the public. This investigation remains active and ongoing. No further details are available for release at this time.”

Panettiere’s death is under investigation by the Greenville Police Department in conjunction with the Greenville County Coroner’s Office. The preliminary investigation has not indicated any signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances. An acquaintance of Panettiere placed the 911 call. At this time, no further details are available for release.

Panettiere, who started acting as a child and went on to star as Claire Bennet on the hit series Heroes and as Juliette Barnes on the musical drama Nashville , was candid about past drug use in interviews to promote her memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning , and in the text itself, which was released in May.
