Case against two accused in Dj Warras murder postponed to November
The case against two accused in the murder of Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock has been postponed to the 2 nd of November for a pre-trial conference.
Hlengiwe Buthelezi and Victor Majola appeared briefly in the High Court in Johannesburg facing charges of premeditated murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
Buthelezi and Majola have opted to be represented by Legal Aid South Africa after failing to secure private counsel.
After the judge raised concerns about the further postponements, State Advocate Namika Kowlas assured the court the pre-trial procedure will commence when they return to court.
“Yes, your worship…there were some hiccups but eventually the docket is with Legal Aid South Africa, including the memory stick and everything and the 2.20 admission.
I just want to place on record that we have been liaising with Mr Mosekwa and Mr Gwaneli and the date of 2 nd of November is for pre-trial, it is not for the counsel to be appointed.” Court proceedings in the stream below:
