Ramaphosa encourages youngsters to ‘clock it and go and vote’
ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa says he is encouraged by the number of young eligible voters who registered.
Ramaphosa was on the campaign trail in Cape Town, ahead of the 4th November local government elections.
He kicked off his campaigning with door-to-door visits in Athlone and ended with an address to party loyals in Mfuleni.
Ramaphosa called on young people to go out to the voting booth in numbers.
“We are very pleased to have seen that a number of them have registered and we are hoping that they will now clock it.
Clock it and go and vote.
So, the numbers of those who registered have gone up and we now want to see them coming out in their numbers to vote.
That in many ways shows their level of confidence in wanting to participate in the affairs of their own country and to secure their own future.”
