Tickets on sale for inaugural Michelin 24H Kyalami endurance race
Tickets are now on sale for the inaugural Michelin 24H Kyalami, which will bring international 24-hour endurance racing to South Africa for the first time from January 8-10.
The event will take place at Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit, with international GT and touring car teams competing continuously through day and night.
The three-day programme begins on Friday, January 8, with free practice, qualifying and night practice. A pit walk and driver autograph session will also take place that evening, while a grid walk is planned for Saturday before the race starts. Both experiences will be available as separate ticket add-ons, subject to availability.
The main race starts on the Saturday, with competitors continuing through the night before the chequered flag falls on Sunday.
General admission tickets start at R250 for Friday, with a range of options available for spectators wanting to attend individual days or the full weekend.
Fan Village tickets cost R250 for Friday, R400 for Sunday and R480 for Saturday and Sunday. A full-weekend ticket covering all three days costs R630. Children under 12 receive free access with the Saturday and Sunday ticket.
For those wanting to watch the action from the grandstands, tickets cost R375 for Friday, R750 for Saturday and Sunday, or R1,000 for the full weekend. These tickets include access to the Fan Village and general spectator areas, as well as grandstand access. Availability is limited.
Saturday and Sunday ticket holders can remain at the circuit overnight to follow the race from its start on Saturday afternoon through to the finish on Sunday.
The circuit’s Fan Village will provide an additional area for spectators away from the track.
Hospitality and camping options are also planned, with tickets for the Kyalami Club/Grid Club weekend package, Kyalami Camp and Sunset Deck scheduled to go on sale on October 16. Prices and package details have not yet been announced.
Camping ticket holders will be permitted to bring gazebos, cooler boxes, food and drinks into the camping area, but not into the Fan Village.
The first participating teams have been announced through the Michelin 24H Series ’ social media channels, with further entries expected in the coming weeks.
