More witnesses to testify in Anele Tembe’s death inquest
More witnesses are expected to testify on Tuesday at the inquest into the death of 22-year-old Anele Tembe in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court.
Tembe, who was engaged to late rapper, Kiernan “AKA” Forbes, fell from the tenth floor of a Cape Town hotel in April 2021.
The inquest is examining the circumstances surrounding her death.
The court has heard evidence from forensic analyst, Jeremy Philander , who says the physical evidence is inconsistent with the possibility that Tembe slipped and fell from the hotel balcony.
The father of the late rapper AKA says he wants justice to take its course.
“I’m happy that the inquest is, is resuming.
Um, it’s been 5 years since the incident.
So, I think it’s good that, you know, finally, the inquest is gained momentum.
So, I’m happy to be here and observe and listen and understand.” The inquest continues, with at least seven witnesses expected to testify this week.
