Accused number three in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial, Mthobisi Mncube , is continuing his testimony in the High Court in Pretoria.

During proceedings on Monday, the State focused on the cellphone Mncube says he was using on the day Meyiwa was shot and killed in October 2014.

Mncube maintains that he was using a Samsung cellphone that day but says he cannot recall exactly when he changed devices.

The Senzo Meyiwa murder trial has been remanded until today.

Sibanda suggested that the records indicated Mncube had changed devices.

Mncube acknowledged that the records showed different devices but said he could not remember the exact date he changed phones.

“I don’t know exactly the day I changed cellphone, but since the numbers are not the same, it means that I’ve changed.” VIDEO | Senzo Meyiwa Murder Trial | 19 October 2026
