Inquest into Anele Tembe’s death to resume

The inquest into the death of 22-year-old Anele Tembe is expected to resume in the Cape Town Magistrates’ Court this Monday morning.

At least seven witnesses are expected to testify this week as the court continues examining the circumstances surrounding Tembe’s death.

Tembe, who was engaged to late rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes, fell from the tenth floor of a Cape Town hotel in April 2021.

Previous testimony focused on the couple’s relationship, the events leading up to Tembe’s fall and the response by emergency personnel and police.

The court has also heard evidence from police officers who attended the scene, including accounts of statements allegedly made by Forbes following the incident.
