The funeral service of legendary musician Babsy Mlangeni is underway at the Alberton Civic Centre in Ekurhuleni.
Eighty-three-year-old Mlangeni died on 2 October 2026.
He was known for his Afro-pop and disco.
Mlangeni was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the South African Music Awards in 2017.
The Gauteng Provincial Government announced on Friday that President Cyril Ramaphosa approved a Special Provincial Official funeral for the music legend.
