‘Sweetest, kindest, most loving person’: Zombies star Carla Jeffery has died aged 33

Disney actress Carla Jeffery, best known for playing Bree in the hit Zombies franchise, has died aged 33.

Jeffery died on Tuesday, September 1, with Alexanders Talent Management announcing the devastating news on Instagram.

“Our hearts are broken as we mourn the loss of our beloved Carla Jeffery,” the agency said.

“For more than 20 years Carla was part of the Alexanders Talent Management family and watching her grow from a talented young girl into the beautiful, vibrant woman and actress she became was an incredible privilege.

“We will remember her infectious smile, her laughter, her talent, and the beautiful light she carried everywhere she went.

“Our deepest love and condolences are with Carla’s family and loved ones. We ask that their privacy be respected during this incredibly difficult time.

“Rest beautifully, Carla. You will be deeply missed and forever loved.”

The agency said Jeffery had joined its talent management family when she was 12.

“As Bree in Disney’s hit ZOMBIES franchise, Carla shared her joy, humour, and bright spirit with audiences around the world,” the agency said.

Jeffery starred as cheerleader Bree in the original Zombies movie, which was released in 2018.

She appeared alongside Milo Manheim as Zed, Meg Donnelly as Addison, Trevor Tordjman as Bucky, and Kylee Russell as Eliza.

Jeffery reprised the role in the 2020 sequel Zombies 2 and returned for the franchise’s third instalment in 2022.

In a series of stories posted to Instagram, Manheim paid tribute to his late co-star.

“Love you, Carlaboo. The sweetest, kindest, most loving person,” he shared alongside a picture of the two with Donnelly on set.
