The viral BISSELL Little Green cleaner is just $139 on Amazon, saving shoppers $120

The BISSELL Little Green Multi-Purpose Portable Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner has had a major price drop and cleaning stains has never been easier.

Right now, Amazon Australia shoppers can pick up the compact cleaning machine for $139 , down from $259, representing a 46 per cent saving for a limited time.

More than 200 have been purchased in the past month, suggesting plenty of shoppers are already reaching for it when spills, stains and pet accidents strike.

Rather than being a bulky carpet cleaner that needs to be wheeled out for an entire house, the Little Green is designed for targeted cleaning.

Its compact size makes it even more useful for upholstery, rugs, carpets and even car interiors.

The Little Green sprays cleaning solution onto the affected area before scrubbing and sucking up the mess, making it designed for dealing with those spots that a regular vacuum simply cannot touch.

That could mean muddy paw prints on the rug, an unfortunate coffee spill on the carpet or marks that have accumulated on the sofa.

BISSELL says the machine’s powerful suction is designed to remove tough pet spots and stains across multiple surfaces, while the included Spot and Stain formula is intended to help tackle stains and odours.

And because it weighs under 5kg and comes with an integrated carry handle , moving it from one room to another is relatively straightforward.

One of the less glamorous but important details of any portable cleaner is how often you have to stop and refill it.

The Little Green has a 1.4-litre clean water tank and a 1.3-litre dirty water tank, giving you a decent amount of capacity for a spot-cleaning machine.

It also has a 1.5-metre hose and 4.5-metre power cord, helping extend its reach when you’re tackling awkward corners, stairs, furniture or the inside of a car.

The machine comes with a 4-inch Tough Stain Tool, a Spraying Crevice Tool and a 236ml sample-size bottle of Spot and Stain formula.

The crevice attachment should be particularly handy for getting into narrower areas, while the Tough Stain Tool is designed for more concentrated cleaning jobs.
